Career

Koseki Bijou belongs to the English-language branch of hololive production. Cover Corporation began that branch in September 2020 with hololive English, and a second English group, Council, followed in August 2021. In 2023 Bijou debuted as part of hololive English -Advent-. Her generation mates are Shiori Novella, Nerissa Ravencroft, Fuwawa Abyssgard and Mococo Abyssgard.

After her debut she was nominated at the VTuber Awards in both 2023 and 2024. Her nominations were for Funniest VTuber and Gamer of the Year, but she did not win either award in either year. In February 2024 she was one of several hololive English members who ran sponsored streams for Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. This was part of a broader promotion with talents from across the branch.

Activities

Streaming style

Bijou streams mainly on YouTube, where she plays video games and hosts other entertainment streams in English. Her nominations in the Funniest VTuber and Gamer of the Year categories point to the two sides of her content that viewers have recognized most: comedy and gaming. Like the other members of her generation, she also takes part in collaboration streams with fellow hololive English talents and in branch-wide events and promotions, such as the 2024 Yu-Gi-Oh! sponsorship.

Characteristics

Her character concept is a gem formed when human emotions crystallized, which is why she is called "the Jewel of Emotions." The gemstone theme also shapes her fan community. Her fans are called Pebbles, and her oshi mark, the emoji that fans use to show support for her, is the Moai statue (🗿). Her name follows the Japanese order, with the family name Koseki first and the given name Bijou second. Bijou is a French word for a jewel or trinket, which fits her gemstone concept. As a member of -Advent-, she is often grouped with Shiori Novella, Nerissa Ravencroft, Fuwawa Abyssgard and Mococo Abyssgard in collaborations and promotional material for the generation.
