Todoroki Kyoko

Todoroki Kyoko (Japanese: 轟京子) is a female Japanese VTuber affiliated with NIJISANJI. She debuted in 2018 as a first-generation member of NIJISANJI SEEDs. She is known for her gyaru character and her drawing and design skills, which she has used in work for other NIJISANJI members.

Career

Todoroki Kyoko debuted on June 7, 2018, as part of the first generation of NIJISANJI SEEDs. The generation's other members included Dola, Hanabatake Chaika, Umiyashano Kami, Nakao Azuma, Izumo Kasumi, Sister Claire, Yashiro Kizuku, Azuchi Momo, Suzuki Masaru, Ryushen, Uzuki Kou and Hassaku Yuzu. Her channel reached its first major milestone in August 2018.

On December 13, 2018, Ichikara Inc. announced that NIJISANJI Gamers and NIJISANJI SEEDs would be merged into NIJISANJI by the end of that month. After the merger she became an official member of the main NIJISANJI group. Her channel continued to grow over the following years and passed further milestones in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Over the course of her career she has worked with other NIJISANJI members in collaborations and groups such as Deroroki, Nijirock and NVR NDs. She also took part in a battle royale team that included Makaino Ririmu.

Streaming style

Her channel's main content is live streaming, which covers drawing, outfit coordination, free talk, gaming and singing. She also tries out activities that are only possible in a virtual setting. Her channel description calls her an aspiring "energy drink-type virtual gyaru liver." It also states her main goal: that her streams give viewers the energy to face the next day and help them forget the hardships of school or work. Besides YouTube, she has used platforms such as Bilibili, TwitCasting, OPENREC and Mirrativ.

Characteristics

Kyoko's official profile describes her as a strong-willed 26-year-old gyaru who graduated from a fashion school and now works. Earlier versions of the profile described her as a fashion school student. She likes to decorate herself, wants to spread "kawaii" culture around the world and hopes to launch her own fashion brand someday. Her design has long white hair in twintails, light blue eyes and accessories such as a choker and hair bells. Her symbol color is #E76186.

In her early streams she suggested she might be the most ordinary member of the SEEDs group. Viewers noted her sincere and polite manner, and some called her a "clean gyaru." She is regarded as highly skilled at 2D design and drawing and has often made illustrations for other members' videos. In contrast, she has described herself as poor at 3D modeling.
