Career

Genzuki Tojiro's YouTube channel was created on December 13, 2019. He made his official debut as a NIJISANJI liver on April 2, 2020, when he began activity on Twitter, and gave his first YouTube stream on April 4, 2020. He was one of three members of VΔLZ, a 2020 unit that also included Nagao Kei and Kaida Haru. VΔLZ has remained his main group, and the unit later received a matching outfit and costumes for a 3D concert tour.

In his character profile, Genzuki is an official who serves the Ouma Empire. His job is to manage "gods" and act as their contact person. The official description says he works well with the gods even though most of them are strange, and that the people around him think highly of him. According to his profile, he loves music, helping people and learning about Japanese culture.

Besides his work with VΔLZ, he formed a comedic idol group called "Gojira Harassment" with fellow NIJISANJI members Ryushen and Aiba Uiha. The group released the song "Full Power Boomerang." In the performance, Genzuki sang in a high falsetto and wore a dress-style jumpsuit. NIJISANJI's official store has sold goods and voice packs for him, including welcome merchandise, seasonal sets and a limited perfume.

Activities

Streaming style

Genzuki streams mainly in Japanese on YouTube. He also has a Twitch channel and accounts on TwitCasting and TikTok. His streams include video games such as Mario Kart, rhythm games and Apex Legends. He often collaborates with other NIJISANJI members, including Saegusa Akina and Mayuzumi Kai. Popular clips from his streams include his reactions during Mario Kart races, rhythm game runs, and segments where he speaks English or talks in falsetto for long periods. During one Mario Kart tournament, NIJISANJI member Kenmochi Toya misread his name as "Gentsuki Toshiro." The mistake became a running joke and the source of one of his nicknames.

His debut-mates and other coworkers describe Genzuki as a talented musician who can compose original music and improvise on the spot. He can also learn a piece by ear in a short time. His main instrument is the piano, but he plays several others as well. Viewers know him for a relaxed manner, though fan sources say he can be firm when a situation calls for it, and he is often seen as the youngest member of VΔLZ. On his secondary Twitter account, he has said he is uncomfortable with "gachikoi" (romantically devoted) fans.
