Uzuki Kou

Uzuki Kou (Japanese: 卯月コウ) is a male Japanese VTuber affiliated with NIJISANJI. He started in the first generation of NIJISANJI SEEDs. He is known for his chat-centered streams and for creating the viral "Nabe Rap", which several later NIJISANJI members have also performed.

Career

Uzuki Kou created his YouTube channel on 27 May 2018 and made his debut on 14 June 2018. He joined the first generation of NIJISANJI SEEDs alongside Dola, Hanabatake Chaika, Umiyashano Kami, Nakao Azuma, Izumo Kasumi, Todoroki Kyoko, Sister Claire, Yashiro Kizuku, Azuchi Momo, Suzuki Masaru, Ryushen and Hassaku Yuzu. His channel passed its first major milestone on 27 July 2018, about six weeks after his debut.

On 13 December 2018, Ichikara Inc. announced that NIJISANJI Gamers and NIJISANJI SEEDs would be merged into NIJISANJI by the end of that month. Since then, Uzuki Kou has been an official member of NIJISANJI. On 23 June 2019 he uploaded an original song, "Icy", but the video was made private on 30 June 2019. On 30 November 2019 he debuted an updated version 2.0 of his Live2D model. In September 2020 NIJISANJI announced that he would appear on its cover album Prismatic Colors, which came out on 28 October 2020.

He has remained active into the mid-2020s. Recent highlights include Apex Legends events at VSPO GG, where he teamed up with Tachibana Hinano and Watarai Hibari, and a December 2025 playthrough of the visual novel Mahoutsukai no Yoru.

His content mainly consists of chatting, gaming and music. His regular streams include casual talk, story-driven and visual novel games, rhythm games such as Rhythm Heaven Miracle Stars, and competitive titles like Apex Legends. He also makes planned variety videos and short-form content. His main platform is YouTube, but he also has accounts on Twitch, TwitCasting, Niconico, OPENREC and Mirrativ.

Characteristics

According to his official character profile, Uzuki Kou is a well-off middle school student whose father is the CEO of a well-known company. He is half Japanese and half British, and he worries that people find him hard to approach. His profile describes him as seeming blunt and abrasive at first, but acting like a typical boy his age once he opens up. He is described as a tennis club member. His design has short, slightly spiky blond hair with long bangs, light green eyes, a Western-style school uniform and brown dress shoes. His symbol color is a pale yellow (#F9E97A). He often leans into his adolescent character on purpose with deliberately silly or erratic behavior, and the "Nabe Rap" is a well-known example. He is reportedly popular with fellow members of the agency, who also often tease him.
