They joined as part of the first generation of Nijisanji SEEDs. That group also included Sister Claire, Suzuki Masaru, Dola, Hanabatake Chaika, Umiyashano Kami, Nakao Azuma, Izumo Kasumi, Todoroki Kyoko, Yashiro Kizuku, Azuchi Momo, Uzuki Kou and Hassaku Yuzu. In August 2018, Ryushen organized their first Nijisanji event, directing the "SEEDs 24h" project. On December 13, 2018, Ichikara Inc. merged Nijisanji SEEDs and Nijisanji Gamers into the main Nijisanji brand, and Ryushen has been listed simply as a Nijisanji member since then.

Ryushen opened a second channel, focused on gaming, on May 19, 2019. Their 3D model debuted on October 2, 2019, during the Nijisanji Music Festival. On May 13, 2020, they made their major-label debut as a member of the new Nijisanji unit Rain Drops, under Universal Music's Virgin Music label. The unit's first mini-album, "Synastasia", reached number one on 11 charts, including Oricon's weekly combined album ranking and Billboard Japan's "Hot Albums". In 2021, Ryushen performed at two major live events: VTuber Fes Japan 2021 and the Nijisanji Anniversary Festival.

Ryushen has also released solo work, including three solo mini-albums. On July 2, 2025, they digitally released "Kakushoron" ("Certain Evidence") and put out its music video on their official channel. The song is the opening theme of the summer 2025 TV anime Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show.

Streaming style

Ryushen's streams mainly consist of free talk, gaming and singing. Their channel holds more than 150 song covers in many genres, and they have collaborated often with other VTubers. They also stream on other platforms, including Bilibili, TwitCasting, Niconico, OPENREC and Mirrativ. They are known to be fond of 1980s songs and anime, which has helped them build connections with other members who share those interests.
