Career

Meiji Warabeda debuted as a NIJISANJI virtual liver in January 2019. The VTuber news site MoguLive reported that she was the first liver to debut after NIJISANJI merged its separate groups (NIJISANJI, NIJISANJI Gamers and NIJISANJI SEEDs) into a single brand. Her character design was created by the illustrator Yuta Moeki.

In January 2020 she was chosen as a member of Rain Drops, a six-member music unit made up of NIJISANJI livers. The other members were Elu, Ryushen, Suzuki Masaru, Joe Rikiichi and Saegusa Akina. The unit made its major-label debut that month as artists of Virgin Music, a label of Universal Music Japan. She stayed with the group for about two years and took part in its releases and live performances.

On March 31, 2022, she announced on her official X (then Twitter) account that she would graduate from NIJISANJI on April 30, 2022. On the same day, Universal Music Japan published a notice confirming that she would also leave Rain Drops on that date. Before leaving, she performed at the unit's second one-man live concert, "SQUALL", held on April 15 and 16, 2022. In her final weeks she streamed Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.1 and held an ASMR broadcast. Her graduation took effect on April 30, 2022.

Activities

Streaming style

Her YouTube channel description summed up her content as singing (Rain Drops), ASMR and occasional games. Her broadcasts were mainly live streams, music content and game streams. Her ASMR streams included binaural relaxation and sleep-aid formats. Games were only an occasional part of her schedule, but MoguLive noted that her very dedicated play of Final Fantasy XIV drew attention. She kept streaming the game until shortly before her graduation.

Characteristics

The character uses wolf and apple motifs. Her emoji marks were a wolf and an apple, and she greeted viewers with "Gabu gabu~", which suggests a wolf's bite. MoguLive described her as popular for her high level of vocal skill and her ability to sing a wide range of songs. Singing was the core of her activities, both as a solo liver and within Rain Drops. Alongside her music, she was also known for her deep commitment to Final Fantasy XIV.
