Career

Nagao Kei's YouTube channel was created on 27 February 2020. He made his official debut on 2 April 2020, starting on Twitter, and his first YouTube stream followed on 4 April 2020. He debuted as part of the unit VΔLZ with Genzuki Tojiro and Kaida Haru. After their debut, the three members took turns revealing their outfits in a relay, in the same order as their debut.

His first cover was released on 15 May 2020. It was a group cover of "Hail Holy Queen" from Sister Act, sung with several other NIJISANJI members, including Levi Elipha, Debidebi Debiru, Sister Cleaire and Genzuki Tojiro. On 14 December 2020, he released his original song "Kamisama no Negai wo Kanaeta Uta". The lyrics were based on an anonymous message he had written to fellow NIJISANJI member Fumi during a stream. The song was composed during a separate stream with Tojiro, who also made the instrumental and mixed the track.

On 25 September 2021, he revealed his first new outfit, which came with two new hairstyles. In 2021 he also played in outside tournaments. These included the Apex Legends VTuber Most Cooperative Tournament S3 in August, where he teamed with Yukishiro Mahiro and Kaminari Qpi and finished 15th. In November he played in the third NIJISANJI Splatoon Tournament.

In 2024, VΔLZ announced an AR live collaboration with DRAMATIC STARS, held on 21 July. In September of that year, the unit went on its LIVE TOUR 2024 "Sanka no Gaku", playing Zepp Yokohama, Zepp Namba and SENDAI GIGS.

In 2022 he began collaborating more with NIJISANJI's international members and started studying English, first through shadowing and later through chat collaborations with English-speaking members. Over time he became friends with members such as Selen Tatsuki, Alban Knox, Yugo Asuma and Layla Alstroemeria.
