Career

After its first group of official virtual livers proved popular, Ichikara Inc. opened a second round of auditions on February 22, 2018, and Ichigo was one of the character designs offered. She has said she applied the day after watching a Nijisanji liver stream on Mirrativ, a day before the application deadline. Ichigo started streaming on Mirrativ on March 9, 2018. On March 15 the company formally announced its second generation, made up of Ichigo, Ienaga Mugi, Mononobe Alice, Kenmochi Toya, Morinaka Kazaki, Fushimi Gaku, Gilzaren III, Suzuka Utako, Fumino Tamaki, and Yuhi Riri. She began streaming on YouTube on April 5, 2018.

Her official 3D model debuted in a YouTube livestream on September 5, 2019. She went on hiatus on June 30, 2021. During the break, fellow second-generation member Mononobe Alice, who acts as her "guardian," shared updates on how she was doing. Her return was announced on March 9, 2022. On March 29, 2025, for her seventh anniversary, she streamed herself drawing every member of the second generation.

Activities

Streaming style

Her streams are mostly chatting and gaming. In her first streams she played mobile games. She later played titles such as Alliance Variant Arms, Minecraft, Super Smash Bros., Pokémon, Among Us, Rainbow Six Siege, and Biohazard. In recent years she has played VALORANT often, along with Mahjong Soul, Dave the Diver, and Overwatch 2. She reached Diamond rank in VALORANT, mostly by playing off stream. In 2024 she took part in a VALORANT competition for the first time. She also streams herself drawing, and she has taken part in Nijisanji collaborations, including a mahjong event where she played on a team with other livers.

Music and works

Her music videos are mostly covers, plus one original song released on another channel. For a Nijisanji baseball-themed event, she recorded a cover of "Lilac" as a gift for the team's manager. Official Nijisanji merchandise for her includes voice packs and plush figures.

Characteristics

Her official profile describes her as a tomboyish, lively third grader who lives in a seaside town and dives in the ocean every day after school. The profile lists her favorite foods as pink wakame and strawberry-flavored sweets. Her hobbies are drawing, singing, looking for wakame, and collecting stickers, and she dislikes green peppers and tomatoes. She has short, slightly curly pink hair under a large hat and two drop-shaped feelers on her head. Her outfit includes a purple newsboy cap, ascot, and capelet.

She is known for her childlike speech and reactions and a distinctive laugh. She is often seen as the "youngest sibling" of Nijisanji, both by fans and by other streamers. Her bold, energetic behavior on stream has earned her playful nicknames such as "Berserker." At the same time, she is described as caring a great deal about her viewers and fellow members. She is also known as a skilled illustrator and often posts drawings of herself and other Nijisanji members.
