Career
Harusaki Air started out in VOIZ, a NIJISANJI-related group whose other members were Naruse Naru, Kaminari Poaro and Kurohane Kuroto. His YouTube channel was created on 8 June 2018, and he uploaded his first YouTube video on 23 June 2018. Two VOIZ members stopped streaming after their first broadcasts. Harusaki Air and Naruse Naru chose to continue.
VOIZ was disbanded on 9 August 2018. Harusaki Air then moved to NIJISANJI SEEDs, re-debuting in the first batch of its second generation. That batch also included Kanda Shoichi, Hina Asuka, Amemori Sayo, Takamiya Rion, Naruto Kogane and Maimoto Keisuke. On 13 December 2018, Ichikara Inc. announced a change affecting NIJISANJI Gamers and NIJISANJI SEEDs. In 2019 the SEEDs members joined the main NIJISANJI branch, and Harusaki Air has been part of it since then.
In his early years he streamed rarely because of a demanding day job, which he jokingly called his "princely duties." He once said his overtime had reached about 128 hours a month. He often told stories about work on stream, and fellow talents and viewers came to call him a "corporate slave." Despite health problems and these work pressures, he kept streaming. His channel eventually passed 100,000 subscribers.
Activities
Streaming style
His content is mostly free talk and gaming, along with some music. He is particularly known for his knowledge of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game and plays it often. He has also entered gaming tournaments between VTubers. In the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Bakuado Cup, a VTuber collaboration event, he reached the semi-finals before being knocked out. He also streams on TwitCasting, and his regular collaboration partners include Naruse Naru, Yumeoi Kakeru, Belmond Banderas and Yaguruma Rine.
Music and works
- "Mera Mera Heart" by NZMN (Harusaki Air, Yumeoi Kakeru, Naruse Naru and Uzuki Kou), on the album Nijisanji Music MIX UP!! (27 November 2019)
Characteristics
His official profile describes a 26-year-old prince from a foreign country. He is calm and gets along well with others. When a favourite topic comes up, he tends to get carried away and talk for a long time. He has a mature manner but openly admits to having a sweet tooth, and this is widely known. Viewers often joke that behind his princely image he is really a (former) office worker obsessed with sweets, Yu-Gi-Oh! and adult games. The contrast between his elegant character and his everyday humour is a recurring theme of his streams. His listed zodiac sign is Aries. His character can be seen in 2D and 3D models.
