Career
Asuka Hina began her activities in August 2018 as a member of NIJISANJI SEEDs, a sub-branch of NIJISANJI run by Ichikara Inc. She belonged to the first batch of the SEEDs' second generation and debuted alongside Kanda Shoichi, Harusaki Air, Amemori Sayo, Takamiya Rion, Naruto Kogane and Maimoto Keisuke. After her debut, her content consisted mainly of chat streams and short clips. She also sometimes re-uploaded streams that she had held on the Mirrative app.
On December 13, 2018, Ichikara Inc. announced that NIJISANJI SEEDs and NIJISANJI Gamers would be merged into NIJISANJI by the end of that month. As a result of this restructuring, Asuka Hina became an official member of NIJISANJI itself. Her YouTube channel continued to grow steadily through 2019, 2020 and 2021 and passed a series of channel milestones during that period. On July 24, 2024, she received a 3D model, which allowed her to appear in three-dimensional form in addition to her 2D model.
Activities
Streaming style
After her debut, her streams centered on casual conversation with viewers, along with short video clips. The first game she played on stream was Minecraft, which she presented as a series titled "Hinacraft". Within NIJISANJI she has taken part in groups with other members, including the Coloring Otaku 3 Musketeers and HinaChinaChima. These groups sit alongside her solo content as part of the agency's collaboration culture.
Characteristics
Asuka Hina's character design was created by the illustrator Tajima Ryuushi. She has short, light pinkish-brown hair, light green eyes and a large white hair bow on top of her head. Her name follows Japanese order, with Asuka as the family name and Hina as the given name, and it also appears in English sources as Hina Asuka. Her birthday, March 3, falls on Hinamatsuri, the Japanese Doll's Festival. She is one of the members who joined NIJISANJI through the SEEDs program before it was merged into the main branch in late 2018.
