Kaneko Lumi

Kaneko Lumi (金子瑠美) is a female English-language VTuber, currently associated with Phase-Connect's first wave of "Phase Invaders" alongside Amaris Yuri. Born on November 17, this American VTuber debuted on July 16, 2021. She was previously a member of CyberLive's 1st generation alongside Amaris Yuri, Momozora Seina, Utano Pandora and Ayane Hylo before graduating from the agency on 31 March 2022. On 13 April, Phase-Connect announced her as part of their new generation, Phase Invaders, with a video teaser, and Lumi confirmed her transition and redebuted with Phase-Connect on 15 April.

Kaneko Lumi is known for her diverse streaming content, including gaming, singing, and chatting streams. She has streamed games such as Kerbal Space Program, Dark Souls III, Minecraft, Untitled Goose Game, Frostpunk, Aragami, Path of Exile, One Hand Clapping, Factorio and HUNT: Showdown. Lumi also hosts karaoke streams and is a classically trained pianist who can play the ukulele, violin, drums, and guitar.

On August 8, 2021, she released "WANDER," her first original song. She later released her second original song "Feeling" on January 8. On April 5, Lumi debuted a new outfit "CATSTRONAUT" and released her first EP "VOID".

Character and Personality

Kaneko Lumi's space thief persona is inspired by her identity as the star Gliese 667C, the universe's greatest thief. Her curiosity about Earth and its inhabitants led her to adopt this mischievous role, aiming to bring light and mischief to those who encounter her. She loves playing challenging games, singing, and learning everything she can about the Earth and its valuables.

Lumi is described as a "people pleaser" who loves taking care of others. Her favorite foods are salad and soup, and she can speak four languages: English, Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese, though her fluency in each varies. Her favorite composer is Liszt, and her dream voice acting role is Jabami Yumeko from the Kakegurui series.

Lumi was originally designed by Xiho and modeled by Kerri. On December 27, 2022, she debuted a new model illustrated by NeonBeat and 삐돌, rigged by 2wintails. She has had multiple outfit variations including her Catstronaut outfit, Space Pirate outfit, and her alternate Gremlumi model.
