Career
Holostars is Cover Corporation's all-male VTuber group. Its first generation began debuting in June 2019 and its second generation in December 2019. In December 2019 the group became part of the unified Hololive Production brand. Aragami Oga's YouTube channel was created on 8 April 2020, he posted his first tweet on 27 April, and his debut stream followed on 1 May 2020. He joined the Holostars third generation together with Kageyama Shien and Tsukishita Kaoru, a trio known as TriNero. After Tsukishita Kaoru retired, Oga and Shien continued as a duo under the name MaFia.
On 27 September 2020 he opened his channel membership. On 10 October 2020 he appeared at the online event Waku Waku! VTuber Hiroba Online Vol. 2 with Kageyama Shien and fellow Holostars member Rikka, among other guests. All Holostars members, Oga included, received new costumes on 3 January 2021 to mark the New Year. He has also appeared on a television program in the "PROJECT V" series, in an episode about Holostars that also featured Kanade Izuru, Rikka, Yukoku Roberu and Kageyama Shien.
Activities
Streaming style
Oga streams mostly games, along with some music content. His earliest streams focused on older Nintendo titles such as Super Mario World, Kirby's Dream Land and Hey You, Pikachu!. His character profile says he discovered retro games after arriving in Japan and has been hooked on them ever since. He is also interested in Gunpla (Gundam plastic model kits). In the first TriNero collaboration, he said that because he was new to streaming, he was unsure whether he could use assets he did not own.
Besides TriNero and MaFia, Oga has worked in several cross-branch and in-house groupings. These include Kirakira Collab with Arurandeisu, Airani Iofifteen and Ayunda Risu, FOXDEMON with Shirakami Fubuki, and Oumagadoki with Yukoku Roberu. His mascot, Chungami, came out of a conversation with Shirakami Fubuki.
Characteristics
According to his official backstory, Oga is a former soldier who fought for about 5,000 years in a parallel world. After leaving military service, he was sightseeing in Japan when Shinove scouted him. His design shows a tall, dark-skinned demon with short black hair, lime green eyes, jagged shark-like teeth and a single curved horn on the left side of his head. The horn's shape, color and position change from costume to costume. At 192 cm, he is described as the tallest member of Hololive Production.
Despite his imposing look, he is known for a calm, gentle manner and a deep, soothing voice that gives his streams a relaxed feel. The other TriNero members first called him a "very weird person." He tries to build friendly relationships with his fans. After his debut, he said he was sad that many viewers had switched from the honorific "-kun" to the more formal "-san," because it made the comments feel more distant.
