Amamiya Kokoro

Amamiya Kokoro (Japanese: 天宮こころ) is a female Japanese VTuber affiliated with NIJISANJI. She is known as a member of the debut trio "Posanke" with Eli Conifer and Ratna Petit, and for her lighthearted gaming streams.

Career

Amamiya Kokoro debuted on YouTube on August 13, 2019. She debuted with Eli Conifer and Ratna Petit, and the three became known as the trio "Posanke". Her debut stream lasted about thirty minutes. Her first game stream was Winnie the Pooh's Home Run Derby, followed by Getting Over It and Minecraft. The Minecraft stream was her first collaboration. Her largest collaboration of 2019 was a Minecraft session with fellow NIJISANJI members including Ars Almal, Ratna Petit, Kagami Hayato, Yorumi Rena, Fuyuki Hakase and Aiba Uiha.

On February 24, 2020, NIJISANJI marked one of her channel milestones by giving her a new default outfit. The new design moved away from her shrine-maiden backstory and played up her childlike personality. Coverage of her career credits the redesign with helping her reach a wider audience. In November 2020 she held a singing stream to reach another channel milestone and hit the goal within about two hours. Her "Halloween 2022" merchandise and voice pack went on sale on October 13, 2022. She was one of six NIJISANJI members featured in that series, which included snapshot cards, acrylic stands, postcards, metal keychains and folding mirrors.

On September 21, 2024, NTT Docomo's ahamo mobile service announced a five-member VTuber unit as part of its "GIGA MASH PROJECT". The unit, called "Team ahamo", brings together talents from NIJISANJI, hololive and VSPO!. Amamiya Kokoro was named as a member alongside Tachibana Hinano, Ars Almal, Natsuiro Matsuri and Omaru Polka. The unit was announced with plans for songs, music videos, livestreams and manga to promote the ahamo plan.

Streaming style

Most of her content is gaming. Profiles describe her as not the most skilled player, but one who keeps trying to improve and to have fun with her viewers. A 2021 profile said she usually streamed on weekdays in the early evening, Japan Standard Time. She often collaborates with other VTubers, most frequently Yorumi Rena, Hoshikawa Sara and Kanae Channel. She is also known for her impressions of fellow NIJISANJI member Ars Almal.

Characteristics

According to her official profile, Amamiya Kokoro is a shrine maiden who can communicate with dragons. When she came of age, she left her sheltered life and debuted as a Liver to take part in society and learn about the world. She is short, with long, bright blue twin tails, an ahoge and yellow eyes. Golden bells and two crossed hair clips decorate her twin tails. Her original outfit was an ornate white dress inspired by traditional Japanese clothing, with layered white and blue ruffles. A small patch of light blue scales shows on her left leg, a nod to her connection with dragons. Profiles describe her personality as genuine and wholesome.
