Career

On December 26, 2021, at the concert HOLOSTARS 1st ACT: JOURNEY to FIND STARS, the agency announced that new members would join HOLOSTARS in 2022. His YouTube channel was created on February 7, 2022. On March 19, 2022 (JST), Fuma and the other UPROAR!! members were introduced at the hololive SUPER EXPO 2022 event. Their social media accounts went public on March 22.

Fuma debuted on March 29, 2022, together with his unitmates Utsugi Uyu, Hizaki Gamma and Minase Rio. UPROAR!! is not officially counted as HOLOSTARS' fourth generation. It works as a separate unit, although its members still treat the first to third generations as their seniors. Shortly before his debut, Fuma posted his debut date on X with the wrong year, 2023 instead of 2022. His unitmates teased him about it, and it became a running joke among fans. During his first stream, he had the virtual assistant Siri call him the strongest yokai in Japan, and also beautiful and cool.

On April 6, 2022, he released his first original rap song. After their debuts, the UPROAR!! members covered "KING" by Kanaria and played games together, including Raft and Fall Guys. Fuma later received a 3D model.

Activities

Streaming style

Fuma streams in Japanese. His content is mainly gaming, free talk and singing. His goals include VTubing for the rest of his life, moving to a house with soundproof walls, winning a game tournament, competing in Shibuya HAL's V Saikyo tournament, and writing and publishing his own light novel. He also collaborates with talents from other hololive branches. Kobo Kanaeru gave him the nickname "Fuma Zako", and in one early in-joke he was jokingly "killed" by Ayunda Risu.

Characteristics

His official profile describes him as a fixer who loves sweet treats, games, chatting and human pastimes, and as a bit of a clean freak. According to the profile, he started UPROAR!! after receiving an odd-job request, and his catchphrase welcomes viewers to a spirit odd-jobs shop that does anything. He has short black hair with yellow tips, yellow eyes and golden earrings. His outfit combines a grey hoodie, a black haori-style garment with golden symbols, black cargo pants and black gloves. He uses the first-person pronoun "ore", and fans also call him "Fumatasou". Fuma says he has been a HOLOSTARS fan since the early days of Hanasaki Miyabi's debut. For his audition, he reportedly wrote 100 reasons why he liked HOLOSTARS on A4 paper. He often praises his seniors on stream, especially Astel Leda.
