Career

Yashiro Kizuku debuted on June 5, 2018, with a livestream on the Mirrativ app as part of the first generation of NIJISANJI SEEDs. At the time, NIJISANJI SEEDs was the candidate group of Ichikara Inc., the company now called ANYCOLOR Inc. Other members of his generation included Dola, Hanabatake Chaika, Umiyashano Kami, Nakao Azuma, Izumo Kasumi, Todoroki Kyoko, Sister Claire, Azuchi Momo, Suzuki Masaru, Ryushen, Uzuki Kou and Hassaku Yuzu. He re-uploaded the Mirrativ stream to YouTube the next day, June 6, 2018. In December 2018, NIJISANJI SEEDs merged into the main NIJISANJI group, and he became a regular NIJISANJI member.

On June 23, 2019, he received an updated 2.0 version of his 2D model. He debuted his 3D model in a YouTube livestream on February 17, 2020, where he played beatmania. In April 2020, he began co-hosting a regular program with Sasaki Saku. In August 2020, SEGA sponsored him to try Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!, and he later kept playing the game because he enjoyed it. He took part in NIJISANJI Koshien 2021 as a member of Shiina Yuika's team. Among NIJISANJI talents, he is part of a collaboration group fans call "Dokuzuhonsha," whose members nickname him "Papa."

Activities

Streaming style

His first streams were themed around his systems engineer profile. About six months after his debut, he started streaming rhythm games, and gaming has been the main focus of his channel since then. Each stream usually has a set goal and ends once he reaches it. Because of his character's day job, he usually streams in the late evening Japan Standard Time. He often plays rhythm games such as beatmania IIDX, beatmania, beatmania III, Dance Dance Revolution and pop'n music. He also uses his technical skills to help other NIJISANJI talents by setting up game servers, giving network advice and fixing PC problems.

Music and works

Music releases distributed through TuneCore Japan under his name as a NIJISANJI artist
Activities with the unit "Ultimate Creators" (Japanese: あるてぃめっとくりえいたーず), which has its own YouTube channel

Characteristics

His official profile describes him as a fairly capable programmer at an IT company. He is modest and gentle, gets carried along easily, and always sounds tired when he talks. According to his profile, he gets only 35 hours off a week and started streaming in that free time, hoping to find something interesting. His name can also be read "shachiku," a Japanese term for an overworked company employee, and the pun fits his character. Unlike most VTubers, whose looks can be anything, his design is an ordinary office worker: short black hair, sleepy eyes, a blue button-down shirt and a company ID on a red lanyard. Commentators have said this plain look makes him memorable and easy to relate to. He calls himself an otaku and knows a lot about anime, manga, retro games and card games. He is known for clear explanations and for giving advice to viewers. He has said that he gets sleepy when he is nervous, and he took a 30-minute nap before his 3D debut.
