Career

Yamaguro Nekuro's YouTube channel was created on 29 March 2021. Her debut stream aired on 12 April 2021. At the time, the group was called Aogiri High School Game Club. She was part of a wave of new members alongside Otodama Tamako, Minazaki Natsuki, Ishikari Akari, Kurikoma Komaru, Oshiro Mashiro and Chiyoura Chiyomi. Later that year, the group dropped "Game Club" from its name and became Aogiri High School. Some members of the original lineup have since left, but Yamaguro Nekuro is still an active member.

After her debut stream, she did a four-hour Ring Fit Adventure stream and then a stream answering questions sent through Marshmallow, an anonymous question service. She then uploaded an ASMR stream that became one of her most-watched videos at the time. Its success led her to make ASMR a regular part of her channel. As her activities grew, she began releasing voice works and running a Niconico channel focused on ASMR, and she now uses a 3D model. The figure maker A.Dimension has produced a 1/7 scale figure of her in a casual outfit.

Streaming style

Most of her channel is gaming and ASMR content. Games she has streamed include Splatoon 3, Trombone Champ, Coffee Talk, Miitopia, Getting Over It, Gartic Phone, Mindhack, Pico Park, Touch Detective, Among Us, 7 Days to Die and the horror title Japanese Society of Paranormal Phenomena 3 (JSP3). She has played Splatoon 3 with other VTubers, including Kirara Mimi, Tsukushi Aria and Tama Quon. She has also taken part in community events such as a Mahjong Soul tournament.

She regularly holds early-morning chat streams, and she also posts short-form videos. One of her most-viewed shorts is a comedic clip in which she "verifies" whether Aogiri High School is really a girls' school. She streams often, and her channel has a large and growing library of videos.
