Career

Nagi's character design first appeared in the first audition announcement for NIJISANJI KR, the Korean branch of NIJISANJI. The same announcement also showed the designs of Shin Yuya, Min Suha, Yu Ruri and Wiffy. She debuted on May 22, 2020, as part of the branch's second wave, together with Chae Ara and Lee Siu. Within NIJISANJI, the three are known as "Arashi Unagi" (嵐ウナギ).

In her debut video, Nagi introduced herself as a young woman who is interested in Japanese culture and has traveled to a virtual Japan. Her first gaming stream was a Minecraft session with Chae Ara and Lee Siu. For her next game, Splatoon 2, she streamed alone. NIJISANJI ID and NIJISANJI KR were later merged into the main Japanese NIJISANJI group. After the merger, Nagi continued as a member of NIJISANJI itself.

Activities

Streaming style

Nagi's content includes gaming, free talk, singing and ASMR. Horror is her favorite genre, and many of her early streams featured horror games such as Lurk in the Dark, I'm on Observation Duty, Missing Children and ParanormalHK. In the same period she also played Who's Your Daddy, Grand Theft Auto and Hand Simulator. Minecraft has been a regular part of her streams. She often played it with the Indian VTuber Noor until Noor retired.

Because she speaks fluent Japanese, Nagi has collaborated with many Japanese VTubers even though she is Korean. She sometimes mixes Korean and Japanese while talking to viewers. She opens her streams with the greeting "Konnagi" and ends them with "Otsunagi." Besides YouTube, she has also streamed on Twitch and TwitCasting.

Characteristics

According to her official character description, Nagi is a young lady who wants to come across as mature and adult-like but is actually rather naive. Fan sources describe her as soft-spoken at first, with a more chaotic side showing as a stream goes on. She calls herself a "seiso" (neat and proper) lady. However, she often plays at being arrogant, and sometimes jokingly acts "yandere" toward her fans and other NIJISANJI members, especially her juniors from the KR branch.

Her character has long, light blonde hair with side braids and light blue eyes. She wears a long-sleeved white shirt with a blue top and a beige skirt. Nagi is also skilled at illustration. Her favorite Japanese VTuber is Ange Katrina, a NIJISANJI member she regards as a senior.
