Career

Ange Katrina debuted on YouTube on March 23, 2019, together with Lize Helesta and Inui Toko. The three debuted as a group and have been known as "Sanbaka" ever since. After her debut she held a chat stream and played the horror game Outlast. In 2019 she received three model and outfit updates. A summer outfit came out in early September. On October 18, she and the other Sanbaka members received updated models. In December she revealed a new dress design to celebrate a channel milestone.

In February 2020, Ange revealed her 3D model during a YouTube livestream. She was scheduled to appear on March 5, 2020, at a Tokyo concert of the Nijisanji Japan Tour "Shout in the Rainbow!", but the show was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In October 2020, YouTube mistakenly terminated her channel and restored it about five hours later.

In 2024, Good Smile Company announced a Nendoroid figure of Ange, scheduled for release in November 2024. It is based on her original alchemist outfit. Its accessories include her "Ho-nyu Face" expression, glasses, and a baby bottle she once used on stream. Around the same time, Sanbaka was preparing a live event for its fifth anniversary.

Activities

Streaming style

Ange's streams include free talk and video games. She has played Outlast, Home Sweet Home, Pokémon, The Forest and Apex Legends. She is known for her opening catchphrase "Omatase, matta?", which roughly means "I'm here, did I keep you waiting?" She is often described as shy around strangers but at her best in free-talk streams. She also collaborates often with other Nijisanji members. Her group pairings include "LizeAn" with Lize Helesta, "TokoAn" with Inui Toko, "AnDeToko" with Inui Toko and Debidebi Debiru, and the "Nijisanji Researcher-gumi" with Kaida Haru, Hakase Fuyuki and Leos Vincent. Ange and Lize knew each other for more than ten years before becoming VTubers. For a project called "LizeAn Week," the two lived in the same room for a week, and the playlist for that project is on Ange's channel.

Characteristics

According to her official character background, Ange is an alchemist from the Kingdom of Helesta, which is ruled by Lize Helesta. In her backstory she spends her days doing alchemy research in a run-down hut. She has bright red hair cut in a short, messy style, and blue eyes. Another part of her backstory says her height went from 147 cm to 160 cm after she drank a failed potion. Her fan name, "Kenja Kids," refers to the Philosopher's Stone from alchemy. Several talents from Nijisanji's overseas branches have named her as their favorite VTuber and as an inspiration for becoming VTubers themselves, including Rosemi Lovelock and So Nagi.
