Career

Nekomiya Hinata created her YouTube channel on 11 February 2018 and her Twitter account in the same month. Her early videos drew a large audience very quickly. Her channel became one of the fastest-growing of the early VTuber boom, even though only a few videos had been uploaded at that point.

On 9 April 2018, she announced that she had joined ENTUM, a Japanese VTuber management company. In December 2019, ENTUM announced that it was closing, and her affiliation ended that month. After that she continued as an independent VTuber and kept her existing channel and character.

On 10 January 2019, the television anime Virtual-san wa Miteiru began airing. Nekomiya Hinata was one of its six main cast members, alongside Mirai Akari, Tsukino Mito, Dennou Shojo Siro, and the duo HIMEHINA (Tanaka Hime and Suzuki Hina). Around the same time, she took part in public events with other well-known VTubers of the period.

Activities

Streaming style

Most of her content is gameplay. She focuses on FPS and TPS titles and is regarded as a highly skilled player in the genre. She has streamed on YouTube and Twitch, and she also has a presence on the Chinese video platform Bilibili, where she has built a sizable following. Her videos and streams usually feature her low-energy, tired-sounding commentary, which contrasts with her aggressive and accurate play.
