Career

Lize Helesta made her first YouTube stream on March 23, 2019. It was a chat stream where she introduced herself, and her next video was a Q&A about herself. She debuted together with Ange Katrina and Inui Toko. The trio's name, Sanbaka, can be read as "three idiots," but the members say it stands for "Sanba Carnival." The group became known for, among other things, making a song using only their voices. Sources say she auditioned for NIJISANJI because she was a fan of fellow member Higuchi Kaede, who inspired her.

In August 2019, less than five months after her debut, she reached her first channel milestone. In October that year, she and the rest of her debut group received updated 2D models, and she later revealed her 3D model during a live stream on January 22. She was scheduled to perform with the other Sanbaka members in NIJISANJI's Japan tour "Shout in the Rainbow!", but the event was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. On her birthday in May 2020, she performed her original image song "Happy End wo Hajime Kara."

In February 2024, the arcade version of Taiko no Tatsujin announced a collaboration with NIJISANJI. Lize was one of the featured members who had released singles through the "FOCUS ON - NIJISANJI SINGLE COLLECTION" project. She reached another major channel milestone in February 2026, and the official NIJISANJI store released celebration merchandise for her that year.

Activities

Streaming style

Her streams cover a wide range of standard VTuber content, mainly casual games, many of them Nintendo titles, along with RPGs and chat streams. Early games on her channel included Layers of Fear, Minecraft, Pokémon, Mario Kart, Little Nightmares, Super Mario Maker 2, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Monster Hunter: World and Fortnite. Later she played Gartic Phone, Genshin Impact and Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Her short streams on a regular schedule are often cited as a reason she is easy for new viewers to follow. She also appears often in collaborations, both on her own channel and as a guest. These include a long-running duo with Ange Katrina called "LizeAn."

Characteristics

In her official backstory, Lize is the second princess of the Helesta Kingdom and the president of the Bunbu Ryodo School, an academy for both literary and military arts. As an heir to the throne, she values daily training and communication with others. Her design has long white hair that fades into blue, blunt bangs, and a white military-style dress with royal blue accents. On her left arm she wears an armband with the kingdom's emblem, a pair of white wings over a maroon diamond.

She is described as passionate about relationships with others and easily moved to tears, especially by goodbyes. She keeps a prim and proper image, but this often slips into a more playful side during collaborations and competitive games. She has said she is an introvert who dislikes crowds. Inui Toko has described her as kind and earnest, and Ange Katrina has called her trustworthy and reliable. A long-running joke among NIJISANJI members and fans concerns the Helesta Kingdom itself. Fellow member Hanabatake Chaika often imitates her and calls himself "the first, second and third princess." Other personal details include her cat Jill, named after Jill Valentine; Umbreon being her favorite Pokémon; and her known knowledge of Japanese law.
