Ironmouse

Ironmouse (born January 11) is a Puerto Rican VTuber, singer, and Twitch streamer. A veteran of the industry, she debuted in August 2017. Active since 2017, she was a founding member of the U.S.-based VTuber agency VShojo and was part of the organization from November 2020 until her departure in July 2025. Hesitant to use her real face online, she was inspired by the Japanese entertainer Kizuna AI, the first YouTuber to refer to themselves as a "virtual YouTuber"—to stream with a digital avatar to conceal her identity. Her username comes from the villain Sailor Iron Mouse from the manga series Sailor Moon.

Ironmouse has 1.8 million followers on Twitch and is the most-subscribed female streamer. She started in August 2017 as an indie content creator playing horror games like 7 Days to Die and Alien: Isolation on YouTube before joining VTuber agency VShojo in November 2020. Typically, there's some music in the background—like lofi chillhop or thumping dance music—as Ironmouse plays something like It Takes Two or Pokémon Heart Gold. If she's not gaming, she's reacting to content (like videos from YouTuber Dhar Mann) or chatting with other streamers about Pokémon. Characteristics and Persona

The Ironmouse persona was expanded into a character, which she referred to as a "bigger version of me" and being like a superhero costume; her avatar usually takes the form of a horned demon with pink and purple hair, while its backstory—influenced by her having jokingly referred to herself on-stream as such—suggests that the character is a personification of Satan itself. A demon queen who goes by several names... but has also been rumored to be Satan herself. She is a friendly, fun loving demon who ran from her duties and escaped the confines of Hell/the underworld in order to make new friends, learn new things and live life to the fullest.

Ironmouse's distinctive, high-pitched speaking voice is the result of a lung infection stemming from common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) which also resulted in her being on oxygen support 24/7; she has remarked that some people have refused to take her seriously because of her voice, and that some fellow streamers have been shocked to find out that it was her real voice, and not being manipulated with a voice changer.

Health Advocacy

Though we don't know the identity of the creator behind Ironmouse, she has revealed that she is from Puerto Rico, and she is chronically ill with common variable immune deficiency (CVID) and a lung condition. At times, her chronic illness has left her bedridden, she told The Washington Post, but being a VTuber allows her to access a rich online world where she can be anyone who she wants to be

In her streaming activities, Ironmouse has been a prominent advocate for common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), an immune disorder for which she has received treatment; she has promoted plasma donation, and has held fundraisers and served as a spokesperson for the Immune Deficiency Foundation. In December 2022, she was listed among the "heroes" on the Plasma Hero website for raising awareness about CVID and encouraging viewers to donate plasma. She has also received praise for encouraging donations to The Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF), a charitable organization which helps people suffering from conditions like hers through research and improving the quality of life of people suffering from primary immunodeficiency.

Collaborations

Ironmouse is known for her frequent collaborations with Welsh YouTuber CDawgVA; he had learned of VTubers via Gigguk—one of his colleagues on the Trash Taste podcast. After watching an Ironmouse stream on Twitch out of curiosity and finding her to be "really funny", CDawgVA brought her up during a Trash Taste episode with Hololive English member Mori Calliope as a guest.
