Career
The A.I.Channel YouTube channel was created on 18 October 2016, and Kizuna AI posted her first video on 29 November 2016, followed by a self-introduction video on 1 December. A gaming channel, A.I.Games, opened in March 2017, and A.I.Channel China followed in June 2019. She was first managed directly by Activ8 as Project A.I., moved to its in-house agency upd8 in 2018, and on 24 April 2020 was transferred to Kizuna AI Inc., a company dedicated to her, which began operating on 11 May 2020. On the same day, voice actress Nozomi Kasuga disclosed that she voices the character.
For several years she was the most subscribed VTuber on YouTube until she was overtaken by Gawr Gura of hololive. In December 2021 she announced an indefinite hiatus, which began after the online concert "hello, world 2022" on 26 February 2022, featuring cameos by over 1,000 VTubers. That concert also announced an anime project and #KZN, a CeVIO AI singing voice.
