Career
Fuji Aoi first appeared on 1 December 2017 through a dedicated entertainment page on Facebook, and posted her first YouTube video, a self-introduction, on 8 December 2017. She was managed by Smarprise, a game and smart device subsidiary of the PR and media company Trenders Co. Ltd.
On 25 January 2018, Smarprise launched a crowdfunding project aimed at giving her a cuter new model. The campaign ran for two months and exceeded its original goal by more than 200 percent, collecting ¥22,822,560 from 1,392 backers. The redesigned model was unveiled in a short video on 27 April 2018, and she held her first livestream on 2 May 2018. A new costume followed on 1 August 2018.
In September 2018 it was announced that she had signed with Universal Music Japan, and her first release with the label, "Hajimari no Oto", came out on 7 November 2018. In June 2019 she held her first solo live event, staged as a combined birthday and Reiwa era celebration, during which a new design and an official logo were revealed. Her debut album, "Yūkiteki Palette Syndrome", was released on 20 November 2019. In July 2020 she announced her departure from Smarprise and her intention to continue her activities independently. By April 2021 she had released two full-length albums under Universal Music Japan.

She has taken part in community events such as a VTuber Fall Guys tournament and a Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster tournament.
She has also worked on a number of commercial collaborations. In December 2019 she appeared in the game Dawn of the Breakers to mark its first anniversary, and her likeness was used for prizes in the online crane game Toreba. For V-Ani 2019 she was one of four VTubers featured in a crossover with the manga Kakegurui. Music and works
- "Hajimari no Oto" (はじまりの音), first release with Universal Music Japan, 7 November 2018
- "Yūkiteki Palette Syndrome", first album, 20 November 2019 (includes a disc of cover songs)
Characteristics
Her original design used an older, 1990s-style anime look with realistic proportions and little shading. It showed long black hair in a high ponytail with blunt bangs and a teal headband bearing her logo. The redesign funded by the crowdfunding campaign brought in a more modern style with rounder features, larger eyes and more dynamic shading. Her later design has long, straight dark blue hair with blue highlights, a short side tie with a blue, yellow and pink hair accessory, and vivid blue eyes.
