Career

Yuzuki Roa debuted on YouTube on January 17, 2019 as a Nijisanji liver, alongside Gundo Mirei. The two often called themselves "MireRoa," and their pairing was a regular part of her early content. Her YouTube channel was monetized on March 20, 2019. She reached her first channel milestone on May 7, 2019, and her 2D model received a "2.0" update in July of that year.

On December 8, 2019, she performed live on stage at the concert event Virtual to LIVE in Ryogoku Kokugikan 2019, where her 3D model was shown for the first time. She formally debuted the 3D model in a YouTube stream on March 19, 2020. On July 4, 2020, she held a chat stream for her birthday that also marked a channel milestone.

On October 21, 2020, Yuzuki Roa went on a self-imposed hiatus. Some sources link this break to an agency-related controversy in late 2020. Since then, her activity has been very limited. Third-party databases disagree about her status: some list her as inactive, while others still list her as a Nijisanji member. Nijisanji merchandise featuring her has continued to appear, including NijiFes 2022 goods and 2024 birthday goods.

Activities

Streaming style

Her content was mainly game streams, chatting and singing. Splatoon is her favorite game, and it was the first game she streamed on her channel. Minecraft was another main title, including building projects at new bases. She also played titles such as Mario Kart, ABZU, Final Fantasy XIV, Fall Guys, ARK, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario Party and Catherine: Full Body. Her singing streams and cover songs, such as a cover of "Secret Princess," were well received by viewers.

She collaborated often with other Nijisanji members. Partners included Gundo Mirei, Belmond Banderas and Ars Almal, and she also played Maple Story 2 with Suzuhara Lulu and Inunaki Tunnel with Fuwa Minato. She was a close friend of the retired liver Kudou Chitose. She has said she was a fan of Belmond Banderas before joining Nijisanji, and she often defended him in a joking way when viewers teased him.

Characteristics

According to her official profile, Yuzuki Roa is a 13-year-old demon who came from the underworld to Earth to play pranks on humans. She wants to rise as a demon, but her kind nature keeps leading her to help people instead. Within Nijisanji she was often cast as a cute "daughter" figure, and her cheeky manner contrasts with her innocent personality.

Her character design has long dark reddish hair with two small hair-bun pigtails, and heterochromatic eyes, one red and one blue. She also has small black horns, a yellow crown, a crescent-moon hairpin, black wings, and a devil's tail tied with a dark blue ribbon. She speaks in a childlike voice that some observers have compared to Anya Melfissa and Houshou Marine. She refers to herself with the old-fashioned, haughty pronoun "wagahai," and she tends to talk quickly when excited about topics she likes. Fans also know her for thanking them with a wink when she receives donations.
