Activities
Streaming style
Tokoyami mainly streams games and is regarded as one of the strongest first-person shooter players in hololive. FPS streams were rare in hololive at first, and she helped make them more visible there, for example by hosting a watch party for an Apex Legends tournament in July 2020. She also streams fighting, music, and racing games, as well as chat streams and a music show. Every January from 2021 to 2024 she hosted the Hololive New Year Cup, a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament. In 2025 she replaced it with the Holo Shinshun Game Matsuri, a team event covering a wider range of games. She is also cited as the founder of OW Joshi-bu, a group of female VTubers who play Overwatch.

Characteristics
In her lore, Tokoyami is a devil who came to the human world on a study trip and became interested in video games and streaming. Her hat is actually her pet, Bibi. Inside Games described her design as blending cuteness with an androgynous flair. Fans often call her "Towa-sama Maji Tenshi" ("Mistress Towa is a true angel"), sometimes shortened to TMT. She is noted for her alto voice, which is uncommon in hololive. In comedy skits she plays both the straight role and the funny role.
