Career

Suzuhara Lulu set up her Twitter and YouTube accounts in March 2019. She debuted on YouTube on May 1, 2019, with a self-introduction stream that ran about an hour. She debuted on the same day as fellow Nijisanji member Yukishiro Mahiro. In August 2019 she revealed her second 2D outfit during a live stream, and in September 2019 her channel passed its first major milestone.

On March 27, 2020, she showed her 3D model for the first time in a live stream. On April 7, 2020, she revealed her third 2D outfit. In 2021 she revealed her fourth 2D outfit on May 8, together with an updated Live2D model.

During her birthday countdown stream, held from June 23 to 24, 2021, she announced that she would graduate from Nijisanji on June 30, 2021. She said the decision followed continued harassment and stalking: earlier cases had been resolved, but new ones kept appearing. Rather than keep pausing her activities each time, she chose to retire. In her final stream she showed her outfits with different hairstyles and presented early artwork and alternative designs from her illustrator. She thanked her fans, colleagues and staff for the two years she had spent at Nijisanji, and said she would keep following VTubers as a viewer.

On December 16, 2025, Nijisanji announced that she would return to streaming on December 23, 2025. She came back more than four years after her graduation. ANYCOLOR CEO Riku Tazumi later called her return a very special case and said it should be seen as an individual circumstance, not a company-driven comeback.

Activities

Streaming style

Her streams are mainly gaming and free talk. She often streams FromSoftware games. She also enjoys the Rhythm Heaven series, even though her sense of rhythm is notably poor. She became known for endurance streams; in one well-known case she played Ring Fit Adventure for ten hours right after a ten-hour Dark Souls stream. She reached the finals of the Nijisanji Imagination Tournament. She often collaborated with Debidebi Debiru, who calls her "art student." She also appears as one of the "Saine Sisters," a trio formed with Kamishiro Kurea and Sephira Su, three VTubers designed by the same illustrator.

Music and works

"SMASH The PAINT!!!" performed as Debilulu, with Debidebi Debiru

Characteristics

In her official backstory, Suzuhara Lulu is a second-year student at an all-girls university. She grew up in a respected, wealthy family and lived a sheltered life. She started streaming to learn more about the world, and she likes singing and wants her voice to reach many people. Her character has short ash-brown hair and teal eyes, and her mouth is often drawn in a "w" shape. On stream she speaks softly and politely and rarely gets angry at games. However, when something goes wrong, she sometimes turns and stares straight into the camera. She has also made strange claims, such as that eyeballs can grow back or that she could drink lava. As a result, fans jokingly see her as an eldritch or not-quite-human being, even though she insists she is an ordinary college student. She is also known to be afraid of spiders.
