Career
Sasaki Saku debuted in 2018 as part of Nijisanji Gamers. This was a branch of Nijisanji that focused on talents who mainly streamed video games. During this period, the agency had several sub-branches running alongside its main lineup. These branches were later merged into one Nijisanji brand, and Sasaki Saku continued as a member of the combined group.
In 2019 she stopped her activities with Nijisanji, which marked a break in her career. She later returned to the agency and began streaming again under the same name and character. That made her one of the few Nijisanji members to come back after leaving. Since her return she has kept streaming regularly as a member of Nijisanji's Japanese branch.
Activities
Streaming style
Most of her content is gameplay streams. These are usually long, unscripted sessions, and she talks with her chat while she plays. Sandbox and building games have been a regular part of her streams, along with competitive and multiplayer titles that she plays both alone and with other talents. Her streams are generally known for a relaxed atmosphere and plain, frank conversation rather than tightly planned segments.
She also appears in collaboration streams with other Nijisanji members. She is often paired with fellow early member Shiina Yuika, and fans of the two use a nickname for the pair. Like other Nijisanji talents, she has taken part in agency-wide events, group game tournaments, and large shared-server projects with many members.
Characteristics
Sasaki Saku is known for speaking directly and bluntly. She jokes freely with both her viewers and the people she collaborates with, and this unfiltered way of talking is often cited as a key part of her appeal. Her long tenure, from Nijisanji's early growth period, through her break, and into her return, also gives her a recognizable place in the agency's history. She is often mentioned when the early Gamers lineup and the first generations of Nijisanji talents are discussed.
