Rene Ryugasaki

Rene Ryugasaki (Japanese: 龍ヶ崎リン) is a Japanese female VTuber and singer affiliated with 774 inc. She debuted in 2020 as a member of the agency's group Sugar Lyric. She is known for a vocal style that switches between rapping and singing, and for music rooted in hip-hop and R&B.

Career

Rene Ryugasaki debuted on March 28, 2020 through 774 inc. as part of Sugar Lyric, one of the company's branch groups, alongside Shishio Chris and Kojo Anna. She held her first stream as a Sugar Lyric member, and her early YouTube uploads were mostly song covers. These included "KING" by Kanaria, "Wonderland" by Eri and "Yokubari" by Ayase. In 2021 she covered "LOOP" by SIRUP, "Vampire" by DECO*27 and "Envy Baby" by Kanaria.

Her hip-hop covers became especially popular. As of June 2023, her cover of "Nobishiro" by Creepy Nuts had passed 1.12 million views. Later she moved further into original music, distributing songs through TuneCore Japan under the No-Name Records label. Her first album, "Stairs," came out in 2024. On March 28, 2024, her fourth debut anniversary, she unveiled a new visual design. On December 20, 2025 she held her second online solo concert, "Upstairs," on the Z-aN platform. It was her first solo live performance in about two and a half years and her first since the release of "Stairs."

Streaming style

Besides music, she streams games, holds radio-style talk streams and records ASMR that uses her low voice. She hosts singing streams regularly, with set lists centered on hip-hop, Black music and City Pop. On April 16, 2021 she began a weekly radio stream about music, covering rap, hip-hop, K-pop and Vocaloid songs.

She has also run educational mathematics streams. Other content includes anime talk streams, cooking streams and casual chatting streams. Many of her collaborations have been with VTubers from agencies under 774 inc., often in games such as Project Winter and Among Us. In September 2021 she played Apex Legends with Kureiji Ollie because they share an interest in the game. She has also collaborated with Hana Machia and Emma August of Nijisanji.

Her artist profile describes a street-style look and a gender-neutral, mid-range voice. It says she grew up listening to hip-hop, Black music and City Pop, and that she prefers City Pop, R&B and hip-hop.
