Career

Nishizono Chigusa debuted with NIJISANJI on 10 August 2020. She was one of five members of the "Selene Girls' Academy Drama Club," a group whose characters attend the same fictional girls' school. The other members were Asahina Akane, Suo Sango, Todo Kohaku and Kitakoji Hisui. Her first stream was a self-introduction that opened with her greeting "Nyahho."

Her character is a second-year high school student at the prestigious Selene Girls' Academy and a member of its drama club. The profile describes her as curious, very athletic, helpful and popular at school. When she applied to NIJISANJI, she reportedly pitched role-play chat at length and said she wanted to teach a course on it. After debuting with a 2D model, she later also received a 3D model. In 2023, her YouTube channel reached 450,000 subscribers.

Activities

Streaming style

Her streams center on first-person shooters such as Apex Legends, PUBG and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. She also plays retro games and tabletop role-playing games (TRPGs). According to her channel description, she streams almost every day and posts a short video daily at 18:00 Japan time. She publishes her weekly schedule on X (formerly Twitter) under the #チグジュール hashtag. She opens her streams with the greeting "Ohachigu."

Her interest in role-play chat often shows up in her content. Because her character belongs to the school drama club, she also does impressions and sings, and uses a range of vocal techniques when she performs.

Characteristics

Chigusa speaks with an unusual accent that seems to mix several Japanese regional dialects. She calls it a "hybrid dialect." Her design has short blue hair with lighter blue underneath and pinkish eyes, and she is often noted for a small fang. A dolphin emoji and a sprout emoji are used as her symbols. Her channel description calls her "clumsy" but determined, and says she joined NIJISANJI to make her dream come true. She calls her fans "Chigunya" and talks with them often during streams and on social media.
