Career

Koshimizu Toru's YouTube channel was created on October 24, 2022. Her Twitter (now X) account was set up in January 2023, and she posted her first message there on January 16, 2023. That same day, ANYCOLOR announced seven new female NIJISANJI Livers, including Toru, and they started their activities. The new members were Igarashi Rika, Ishigami Nozomi, Sophia Valentine, Kuramochi Meruto, Kaburaki Roco, Shishido Akari and Koshimizu Toru, and together they formed the unit Idios. On January 17, 2023, the group was featured on THE TIME, a nationally broadcast news program on the Japan News Network. The segment showed profiles of the members and reactions to the announcement.

The debut streams ran as a relay on January 19 and 20, 2023. Toru made her debut on January 19 and was the second member of the group to stream. On January 21, 2023, the members held a relay stream showing compilations of clips from their debuts. Since then she has streamed regularly on YouTube and has also been active on Twitch and TwitCasting.

Activities

Streaming style

Toru's channel description calls her a "super NEET gamer" belonging to NIJISANJI. Most of her content is gaming, with some free talk and ASMR. She plays competitive titles such as Apex Legends and League of Legends as well as more relaxed games such as Minecraft. Her streams are often very long, and she streams with few days off. She opens her streams with "Koncha~" and usually ends them with "Otsupoya~". Besides the stream and fan-art hashtags, she uses #しーちゃんみてみてっ as an ego-search tag and #こしみずボイス for feedback on her voice products. NIJISANJI also sells merchandise featuring her, such as acrylic stands and character cards.

Characteristics

Toru's character has short dark blue hair and purple eyes. Her official profile describes her as someone who lives at her own pace and for her hobbies. She loves listening to music and playing games but shows little interest in other people. She is usually described as a typical "cool" or "downer" type who stays calm almost all the time, though she can suddenly get loud when surprised.

Within Idios she is often the group's tsukkomi, or straight man. Even so, she surprised viewers during her debut stream by openly saying she was fascinated by fragrances and choking. She is also known for liking caffeine, mint-flavored tablets and energy drinks. When she gets passionate about something, she tends to pursue it intensely.
