Career

holoAN is hololive production's official announcer and public relations channel. Before 2025, its only presenter was Harusaki Nodoka, who left COVER Corporation at the end of September 2025. After she left, activity on the holoAN channel was suspended. On October 14, 2025, the holoAN YouTube channel announced that the "Hiruholo" program would return the next day with a new announcer, and posted an image of an unnamed character.

Izuki Michiru debuted at noon on October 15, 2025, on the holoAN room YouTube channel. She appeared as a still image and did not hold a separate debut stream. She gave a short self-introduction and then went straight into the news segment. She said she was glad to bring hololive news to viewers again from the place that Harusaki Nodoka had built. She also said that holoAN would grow with new colleagues and that she was the first of them. Japanese gaming media, including Inside Games, Dengeki Online and Panora, reported on her debut. They noted that her designer, Ordan, also designed Harusaki Nodoka, and that she planned to use a static image for the time being.

On November 7, 2025, she announced that a new announcer would join holoAN. Hanazono Sayaka debuted on November 10, 2025, and Kazeshiro Yuki joined later, which made holoAN a three-person team. Michiru first presented the Friday edition of "Hiruholo". Under the three-announcer schedule completed in 2026, she took over the Wednesday edition. On June 22, 2026, COVER Corporation announced a trial of a new streaming system for holoAN and mekPark starting June 24. On July 1, 2026, Michiru showed an upgraded version of her originally static model that made it more animated.

Activities

Streaming style

Michiru's main work is presenting "Hiruholo", a midday news program. It covers hololive talents' activities, events, merchandise and collaborations. Her segments have covered large hololive exhibitions, regional collaboration events, promotions for voice products and corporate tie-ins with hololive members. In a November 29, 2025, broadcast promoting a collaboration ramen with Houshou Marine, she turned on a webcam that showed a person in black gloves eating cup ramen, including a spicy variety. According to her official profile, she tries to keep her broadcasts calm and composed but sometimes slips into fast-paced otaku-style talk. Her stated goal is to deliver energetic, enjoyable streams so that more people can discover hololive.

Characteristics

Her character design shows shoulder-length dark brown hair, a white blazer and blouse with a striped bow, and a blue pleated skirt, styled after a news announcer. Her laugh led fans to call her "Ihihi-chan". In her debut, she listed alcohol and spicy food as favorites and named watching hololive streams, basketball and listening to music as hobbies. She has said she prefers playing basketball to watching it, and that she likes ordinary convenience-store Japanese sake. She said she first learned about hololive through Houshou Marine's voice actor audition stream for her self-made RPG. She did not have a personal X account at debut, and several accounts impersonating her appeared afterward.
