Career

Before her NIJISANJI debut, Ishigami Nozomi was a second-generation student of VIRTUAL TALENT ACADEMY (VTA), the VTuber training program that ANYCOLOR has run since November 2021. She held her first stream on the VTA channel on June 23, 2022, and posted her first message on X on June 27, 2022.

On January 16, 2023, ANYCOLOR announced seven new female NIJISANJI Livers, Nozomi among them. This made her one of the first second-generation VTA students to move directly into NIJISANJI. She held her first stream as a NIJISANJI Liver on January 19, 2023, during the group's debut relay, which ran from January 19 to 20. Her debut group included Igarashi Rika, Koshimizu Toru, Sophia Valentine, Kuramochi Meruto, Kaburaki Roco and Shishido Akari.

The group had no unit name when it debuted. Nozomi suggested "Idios," a name drawn from the word "idiosyncrasy" and from a Greek word meaning "one's own." The name was officially adopted on January 28, 2023. Idios began music activities as a unit in 2025. A 1/7-scale figure of Nozomi was later announced by the manufacturer A-DIMENSION.

Streaming style

Nozomi streams on YouTube, mostly free talk and gaming. Her channel description says plainly that she is bad at games. It also states her goals of world domination and of gaining "believers" through her streams, which fits her fan name, Shinja. Her solo streams usually start at 9 or 10 p.m. Japan time, and she sometimes holds unannounced morning or daytime streams. She typically streams three to six times a week. Like the other Idios members, her original outfit includes accessories from the shared "Dinamis" motif: in her case, a necklace and a hairpin.

Characteristics

According to her official profile, Nozomi presents herself on social media as half demon and half human. In reality she is an ordinary human who believes she has magical powers, and the bandage on her left arm is said to seal away the power of the devil. Her original self-introduction was presented as an exaggerated profile that NIJISANJI staff then "corrected." Her stated age of 2,200 is really 22. Her birthday, described as a Day of the Dead in the month of Kannazuki, is really October 29. Her claimed height of 164 cm is 157 cm plus 7 cm heels. Even the romanization of her name was corrected, from "Isigami" to "Ishigami." In this premise she works part-time jobs and comes from the "virtual countryside."

Although she can look cool, she is described as emotionally expressive and quick to laugh. She is also known for sharp comebacks with an unusual vocabulary and for picking up jokes from others. She enjoys internet memes and banter with her audience. Her model includes a white tiger companion named Byakko.
