Career

Hanabusa Lisa created her YouTube channel on July 20, 2020 and debuted on August 15, 2020 as a member of Cattleya Regina Games, a team within the Virtual eSports Project. Her teammates are Tosaki Mimi and Asumi Sena. In her debut stream she introduced herself using the ladylike speaking style described in her official VSPO! profile, but she was often flustered and made several mistakes. Viewers took notice of the contrast and found her unpolished manner refreshing.

Shortly after her debut she started competing in community tournaments. She placed third at the 3rd VTuber Splatoon 2 Tournament in September 2020 and played in the Intel PC Festival 2020 in October of that year. In 2021 she entered several Apex Legends events: she finished 14th at the Apex Legends Restart Games Festival, 9th at the first Kagayaki Cup, and was knocked out in qualifying at the Reignite Cup #2. In VALORANT, her team placed fourth at Crazy Raccoon Cup #9 in 2024 and second in the main event of VTuber Saikyo Tournament Act 2 in 2025.

She was cast as a guest voice actress in the game Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road of Heroes. In May 2025 she was suddenly hospitalized and stopped all streaming to focus on treatment. She announced her discharge on July 18 but said she needed more rest before returning. On August 26, 2025, she announced on her official X account that streams would resume on September 1. Fellow streamers, including Tsurugi Higiri, Hal Shibuya and Tsuyuri Shirasaki, welcomed her back.

Activities

Streaming style

Most of her content is gaming and free talk. Competitive shooters, especially Apex Legends and VALORANT, make up a large part of her streams. She has also played a wide range of other games, including Fall Guys, Detroit: Become Human, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Minecraft, Overcooked, Among Us, Dead by Daylight, Phasmophobia, PUBG, Raft, Payday 2 and Portal 2. Her Fandom wiki entry says she plays rhythm games such as Muse Dash and Rhythm Heaven Fever, is good at Minesweeper, and generally stays away from rage games like Jump King. She also holds cooking streams for special occasions, such as reaching subscriber milestones, and sometimes draws on stream. Besides YouTube, she streams on Twitch and TwitCasting.

Characteristics

Her official profile describes her as a young lady motivated by drawing, gaming and good food, whose eyes light up when the conversation turns to food, and who is a little clumsy despite being energetic and serious. Her character design has a Japanese-style outfit, blue eyes and very long brown-blonde hair. Fellow streamers sometimes bring up song lyrics she once wrote, including a piece known as "Kurobara" (Black Rose), as a running joke.
