In November 2018 she received her first alternative outfit, which showed that her character can remove her horns.

On February 15, 2019, she held a live stream to celebrate reaching 50,000 YouTube subscribers. She received a first-anniversary outfit, which she revealed on June 9, 2019. That date was the anniversary of her first live stream rather than her debut. On June 18, 2019, she played Tetris during a stream aimed at reaching a further channel milestone. She first appeared in her 3D model during a YouTube live stream on December 13, 2019.

In February 2020, Dola performed at the Namba stop of the Nijisanji live tour "Shout in the Rainbow!". In her early years she was known within Nijisanji mainly for organizational and administrative work, especially on the agency's Minecraft server. Projects there led to some of the company's best-known group collaborations. From mid-2020, she moved her focus from administrative work toward performing.

Activities

Streaming style

Dola's content includes gaming, free talk, singing, and ASMR streams. Her streaming schedule is irregular, so she plans her broadcasts in a Google Sheets document that viewers can see. Sources describe her as using her organizational skills to plan content around her viewers' interests. Her main platform is YouTube, and she also has accounts on TwitCasting, OPENREC, Mirrativ, and bilibili.

Her work on the Nijisanji Minecraft server is a significant part of her reputation. Through organizing and administering activities there, she supported large group collaborations among the agency's talents.

Characteristics

According to her official profile, Dola is a fire drake from another dimension. She discovered the internet through a smartphone buried in her treasure hoard and then took on a human form. Her character is described as 353 years old, and fan wikis often tag her as a dragon VTuber. Her catchphrase "Ocha o nomimasu!" ("I'll drink tea!") is well known among her viewers. She has worn a range of 2D outfits and hairstyles, including the hornless alternative design and her first-anniversary outfit. Her fans are called "Dola-tomo", meaning roughly "dragon friends".
