Career

Crimzon Ruze's X (formerly Twitter) account was created in September 2023. He debuted on 18 November 2023 (Pacific time) as a member of -ARMIS-, a group of HOLOSTARS English, together with Jurard T. Rexford, Goldbullet and Octavio. In the group's concept, he is a monster hunter in the bounty-hunter unit. Some sources count -ARMIS- as the second wave of HOLOSTARS English and others as its third generation.

On 3 December 2023, he celebrated his channel's monetization and turned on Super Chat. On 16 December 2023, he opened YouTube channel memberships. In February 2024, he ran a one-shot tabletop session for the other -ARMIS- members, which was his first streamed Dungeons and Dragons content since his debut. He started planning HoloMarches on 21 May 2024 with a Mappa Imperium stream. On 1 September 2024, he sent invitations to the other HOLOSTARS English members. In Session 0, which aired on 12 October 2024, all nine other members of the branch had accepted and created characters.

He later took part in the HOLOSTARS Everglow concert. He also joined the multi-streamer Minecraft roleplay event VCraft Enchanted, where he played Clifford Rolexus, a character who eventually became mayor of the in-game town of New Witchington. Along with some other HOLOSTARS members, he has also started streaming on Twitch in addition to YouTube.

Activities

Streaming style

His streams are mostly gaming and free-talk sessions in English. Tabletop role-playing is a major part of his content. For HoloMarches, he designed the setting's cultures, languages, peoples, monsters, religions and geography from scratch, partly with input from viewers in members-only streams. Many names of people and places in the setting come from the usernames of his top-tier channel members, which he changes by adding or removing letters. The campaign is designed so that the world reacts to the players' decisions and keeps changing around them. He has said he is open to inviting hololive English members, other corporate VTubers and independent VTubers in the future. He has also talked about building Gundam model kits.

Characteristics

His official description presents him as a loud axe-wielder with a cheerful personality and a taste for mischief, and his favorite food is meat. He calls himself "Elysium's Greatest Monster Hunter," a "Midwest fantasy VTuber" and "YOUR least favorite idol" of HOLOSTARS English. He opens streams with that line and closes them with "See you in Hell!" His oshi mark is an anger symbol. Listed likes include games, weapons, caffeine and bugs, and dislikes include horror games, caramel and water. Underneath his provocative on-stream persona, he is often described as level-headed and witty, with an interest in worldbuilding, insects and cats. He has said he is studying Japanese on his own.
