Career

Hololive's first generation debuted between May and June 2018, shortly after Cover Corporation changed its hololive app into a tool that mapped facial movements onto animated avatars. Her YouTube channel was created on 25 May 2018. Aki Rosenthal debuted on 1 June 2018 as part of this generation, alongside Yozora Mel, Natsuiro Matsuri, Shirakami Fubuki and Akai Haato.

Her early career has been described as a difficult start. In December 2018 she was in a traffic accident and stopped streaming for about two months while she recovered. She returned on 9 February 2019. In June of the same year she revealed her 3D model. Over time she built a steady audience, and her ASMR and karaoke streams became some of the most popular videos on her channel. She has had several costume updates over the years. She also opened a YouTube sub-channel, which mainly hosts live streams, including food streams.

As one of the agency's earliest members, she was part of the growth of hololive and Hololive Production. This included the first-generation lineup that performed at the agency's early concerts, such as "hololive 1st fes. Nonstop Story" in January 2020.

Activities

Streaming style

Her streams are generally described as relaxed and wholesome. Her content includes gaming, singing, ASMR, reactions and casual chatting. In gaming streams she seldom loses her temper and usually stays cheerful. She has also streamed herself talking with viewers while eating and drinking. She is a skilled belly dancer and has taught fellow hololive members, including Kiryu Coco, Houshou Marine, Shirakami Fubuki and Tsunomaki Watame, to belly dance on stream.

Music and works

"Shallys" (Sharuisu), an original song in an ethnic style, released with a 3D music video. It combines her singing with belly dancing.

Characteristics

According to her official profile, Aki Rosenthal is a half-elf from another world. She is endlessly curious and cannot resist exploring anything that catches her interest. Her trademark pigtails float through some kind of supernatural power. They come out of different devices depending on her costume. Her lore says her mother is a siren and that she comes from a world called Shallys. She is also considered the first hololive member to be an elf in the agency's lore. Her main outfit is a blue and white uniform with a red tie, long white gloves and black thigh-high socks, with bright green lights on parts of the design. Her personality is described as calm and friendly, with a mischievous side: she playfully teases other members and viewers but shows care for them. Her fans are represented by a mascot shaped like a red apple with a gray visor, floating white hands, black legs and a blue tie.
