Career

Cocoa Domyoji's YouTube channel, first called "Cocoa Music," was created on July 9, 2018. Her debut on the channel is dated July 24, 2018, which places her among the earlier Japanese virtual YouTubers from the period when the format was first growing in popularity. From the start, her channel focused on music. Her career has been described mainly in terms of singing and music-related work rather than general variety streaming.

She later became part of Brave group, a company that runs several VTuber projects. Within the group, she is listed as an artist of RIOT MUSIC, its label for music-focused virtual talents. Her channel now runs under the name "Cocoa Domyoji" with the handle @cocoadomyoji. VTuber database listings give March 6, 2025 as the end of her activities with the label. The channel has also been tied to two official websites over time: one under the earlier "Cocoa Music" name and one under her own name.

Activities

Streaming style

Cocoa Domyoji works mainly in Japanese, and her content focuses on music. She is classed as both a virtual YouTuber and a singer. Her channel has long been one of the music-centred VTuber channels, with song covers and other music releases at the core of her output. She also does live streams and other videos for her viewers. Because she performs with a 3D model rather than a 2D one, she can appear with full-body movement in music videos and performances. As a RIOT MUSIC artist, her output has matched the label's focus on singing and music production.

Characteristics

Under her character setting, Cocoa Domyoji is the younger sister of Domyoji Haruto, a character from the Game Club Project, another virtual YouTuber project. Her birthday setting is September 20, and her zodiac sign is Virgo. Fans and viewers call her by nicknames such as Kokoa, Kokoa-chan and Kokotan. Her character design, as seen in her official model, features short hair with a hair ornament, a white collared shirt, a blue necktie and a blue coat. She has a consistent idol-like look that matches her music-focused activities.
